I Can See In Colour

Head of House
Today we will be talking about the job... Head of House! I have a special guest, Tammy Roland, a person within the Head of House team! Everybody give it up for Mama Lion!

INTERVIEW

SoMe: What does being a HoH mean, and what exactly do the heads do to help WoP?

Tammy: We have two overall jobs: We're part of the Management, which means that we make sure that everyone on World of Potter plays by the rules. This allows every single user to feel safe on WoP and have a good time. Our second - and way more obvious job - is shaping the house. Managing the House Teams, taking care of the Club, rewarding students, keeping everyone up to date and helping everyone who might need help.

SoMe: Sounds important! Thank you so much for helping us, though! Haha.

SoMe: Why did you apply to be a HoH? Do you suggest others to join as well once a spot opens up?

Tammy: I've been on World of Potter for a really long time at it has played a big role in my life ever since. I met new friends who I love dearly, I had a place where none of my problems mattered, I could be creative, I could choose who I wanted to be - it's pure escapism. I always knew that Management made this possible through making sure that everyone follows the rules, is safe, kind and happy on WoP. When the chance to be a HoH presented itself - I couldn't resist. The thought that I can become the person who makes WoP just as safe and beautiful as it always was for me, even if it's just for a single user, is incredible. This sounds really cheesy, I know. :D

SoMe: That's also why I joined the SoMe team! I love being creative and making new friends.

SoMe: Third question! What are some perks of being a HoH?

Tammy: I think this might be different for everybody. The job comes with a lot of respect from everybody on WoP, which is nice! I definitely enjoy the feeling I get when I just succesfully helped someone. In the end that's what the HoH job mostly is for me and being able to do that on a daily basis is quite nice. Another perk is how much possibilities I have to be creative. I get to do a column, play around with the Gryffindor Club Codes and think of what changes I could bring to the house. I love a challenge, I love being creative and bringing Ideas to life. I have the opportunity to do this now, which is probably the biggest perk for me.

SoMe: Respect is nice indeed, so is having fun, and being a HOH sounds like a lot of fun! Maybe I'll try out when I'm older~

SoMe: What’s your least favorite part about being a HoH? If there is none, that's okay!

Tammy: I think I haven't been in the job long enough to say. Right now I still feel the pressure, I'm always anxious to make a mistake because everything is still new and therefore kind of scary. But I've already noticed that it's getting better, which is good. Other than that - I actually enjoy every part of the job. Who knows how I would answer that question in a couple of months though? :D

SoMe: Ah, yes. Every job gets stressful, but it's worth it.

SoMe: And last but not least, what’s your favorite part about being a HoH? Why?

Tammy: Hmmm, I think I've mentioned my favorite parts of being on the Team in the perks Question, but I can add another thing: The other HoHs. Or Management in general - As I've said, I'm still a little anxious about this job which is why I ask a lot of questions. Everyone is always happy to help, kind and fast to reply. Knowing that I can rely on everyone is a feeling that came with the HoH job and easily one of the best things.

SoMe: Yes, yes! The other people in the job are always the best part, they feel like a family, hehe~!

That's it on this article of "I Can See In Colour" for the Head of House! Congratulations to the most recent Head of House, Tammy Roland! The Head of House for Gryffindor! This is a grad job, so us little kids can't apply. But for those lovely grads, next time a position opens up, try to apply! There's always a chance you might be the next HoH!
