You've Got Owl 2.4

by Isla Brisbane

Welcome to You’ve Got Owl! My name is Isla Brisbane and this will be a weekly blog post filled with a little mystery and a game that you can participate in! So, of course, according to the title, it means you got something sent for you. However, before you run to your owl, let me set the mood first, alright? Here comes the RPG part!

Anyway, if you missed the article from last week, which is Edition 2.3, feel free to take a look at it HERE!
Since you are reading this, you, {%FULLNAME%}, are still in the "Postcard Exchange Program for Young Wizards" program. To be honest, you have lost count of the duration, but you know that it will be a year, soon enough. You found yourself getting fond of receiving postcards. And even writing them, which takes quite a lot of effort at times, brings you joy. However, you must remember that writing more also means receiving more, and receiving more means that you need more space to store your postcards. Sure, the Room of Requirement always gives you what you need, but it seems like your postcards are piling up there....

That day, your owl came again bringing another postcard. Just in time before you got into a classroom! Surely you didn't waste your time waiting until the class was over to read this postcard. Sorry, Professor, but this postcard is also important! You turn the postcard around and ... huh, no weird markings this time?

OOG: There is no word in this postcard. It's a bonus!
Greetings from New Zealand!
Hey, {%FIRSTNAME%}! I'm Aotearoa, and as you might have noticed, hehe, I came from New Zealand! I study magic here, and I'm currently 15 years old. I always heard about Hogwarts and it always fascinates me about how great the school is. I do wish I can come visit someday. Some things in the UK always make me curious. Is it true that the entrance to your ministry is through a telephone box? That sounds like a lie. ANYWAY, I forgot to tell you that this is Fiordland National Park! No more space so bye now!

So, today we have no red marks on the postcard because instead of giving more clues, I will announce the winners from the entire first editions who got the answer correctly! Before I announce the winner, the answer is Vanishing Sickness. The keywords are magical bug, ailment, and disappear. Vanishing Sickness is an ailment that caused by a magical bug, and it causes our body parts to disappear! So, without any further ado, the winners are....

Talia Celestine
Venus Magnolis
Nick Valentin
Sagitta Daemonium
Myra Blair
Blue Styll
Adalia Black
Nathanael Arif
Mimi Remington
Jason Flame

Congratulations to all winners! You will receive your gifts soon!! Anyway, just a refresher for the rules: you will find some different letters written on each postcard. Those letters will form some words, and it's your job to find what words these postcards have! Gather these words from all the editions in one series, and after you find all the words, find one thing from the Harry Potter Universe that is related to these words! For example, if the hidden words are steal, shiny, beast, cute, gold, then the final answer would be Niffler!

Send ONLY the final answer through owl to Isla Brisbane at the end of every series (so, according to the example, you only need to send "Niffler" to me). If you get it correctly before the next series gets posted (there will be a deadline for the answer), then you will receive a little gift for your participation! Every series will have 3 editions, so make sure to always pay attention to the details and get the final answers according to your clues correctly!

Now, postcard explanation time, I present you Fiordland National Park! I believe this is one of the most famous national parks in New Zealand. It's also recognized as part of UNESCO World Heritage, so imagine how amazing this place is! Just like its name, this area has a collection of fiords. You can do lots of things here, starting from the "normal" hangout activities like dining and shopping. Of course, there are cruises, jogging tracks, and even helicopter tours! Now, feel free to comment with an idea for the postcard for the next edition or series! One series will be from one country, so, we will completely change the country next week! What country would you like to see first, and what place would you like to see from that country? XD
