Hello everyone and good day! Have you ever just wondered what the rainbow of colors you see in chat are for? Have you ever wondered what having a different color to your name meant? Well, here you are my friends. In this blog we go over every type of color that people can have and what the job is that is attached to it.

Specifically, today we are going over one very important job.

A prefect is represented by the dark purple color in WoP, because of the dark purple color they tend to be called by the nickname Greps which derives from grapes. The students with this job come from every single house. Together the students protrol the forums of WoP and the individual topics. They each are given an area that they patrol to make sure that the topics and the whole forum are followig the rules. You might have seen someone with a purple name comment on your topic to inform you of the rules. They aren't trying to be mean or rude, they are just making sure the topics are obeying the rules.

I have contacted some of the greps and I asked them a few questions. There was three things that I asked of them. 1, what's your least favorite part of being a prefect; 2, what's your favorite part of being a prefect; and 3, give me a breif description of the job in your own words. I got quite a few answers so here is some of them.

Connery Caxaton My favorite part of the job would have to be all of it. I enjoy assisting others. Being someone others can turn to if they have questions or concerns. Being able to help others is by far my favorite part. Making new users feel welcome. Also being a part of such a fabulous team. I love being a part of such a wonderful team with such a terrific leader!! Getting the opportunity to work alongside such awesome people is certainly a privilege and an honor. There isn't anything that I don't like or find my least favorite. I love all aspects of the job. I love what I do and enjoy doing it. Enforcing the rules is what Prefects do. Making sure all the rules are followed and others are informed of the rules! Plus there is even opportunities of being able to ref duels, which is absolutely pleasureful. As well as being kind, welcoming new users, making sure everyone feels welcome. And being a role-model for all to follow

Natalie Paige I love being a prefect because it feels so great to be a part of such a wonderful team. We always help each other when we need it and we never feel like we're fighting an uphill battle alone. My least favourite part of the job... that's hard to come up with. This job has been really perfect for me and the people make it amazing. I guess the hardest is when people question us in chat, but there's always another Grep to back us up! As for a brief description, I think basically it is to make sure that the site is looked after and that if there are any issues that users have, we try to help take care of them as quickly as possible!

Emma Nightingale So my favorite part about being a prefect would be how helpful and welcoming you get to be towards new people on site, I mean we get to interact with a lot of people and the prefects is such a great team. We always get along and I've been a prefect for a while now I've seen many people come and go but all of them have been nice and I love all the new prefects as well, there's really good communication among everyone and I couldn't be happier to be apart of this team. Also our leader Andromeda is amazing and so understanding and helpful anytime we have a problem or need help she's always there so she's great! My least favorite about the job would have to be when we have to deal with trolls because when there is trolls they just keep coming no matter how much you warn them or delete their comments and you can time them out for a period of time but ultimately you usually have to wait for management to come on and deal with it. A brief description about the job of being a prefect is making sure people follow the rules for forums and chat room as well as being welcoming and helping newcomers and making sure everyone has a safe place to be on the site.
