Questions at bottom :)

AGE 5
It was a sunny day in the quiet suburb of London. A small girl with pigtails balanced on a step stool while reaching her tiny arms high in the air. She had dirty blond hair and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a pink dress that flowed slightly.

“I want cooookies!” She screeched, jumping on the stool. A small gasp escaped her mouth as the stool rocked a bit, resulting in the girl flailing her arms out wildly in an attempt to balance herself. Why did she have to be so short?

“Bronwen Lucille Atkinson!”

The girl jumped off the stool quickly and turned around to find the origin of the voice. She did not like when her full name was said. She clasped her hands together and gave the best puppy dog eyes she could.

“I just wanted cookies, mommy! But they’re so high, and I can’t reach them. Can you pleeeeaaaseee help me? Please mommyyy!!?”

Julia Atkinson smiled sweetly at her young daughter. “No sweets until after dinner, my love. You know this. Now, why don’t you go put on some outdoor clothes because your American friend is going to be here soon.”

Bronwen clapped her hands. She loved when her american friend came to visit! She came every summer, and the two girls would play for hours on end. Bronwen’s parents even let her use the phone to call her friend sometimes.

Bronwen quickly ran upstairs to her room, which was decorated with pictures of fairies and animals. She replaced her dress with some more appropriate play clothes. She felt so happy! She would have to tell Miss Kathy ALL about this.
