From the Kitchen

Hello everyone!

I hope y’all are having a great day. My name is Dev Hudson, you might know me as the ‘pet guy’. There are just a million nicknames I have but we are not here to talk about that, we are here to talk about this new blog series ‘From the Kitchen’!

You can probably tell what this blog is about from the title and you are right! In these blogs, I will be showing you how to make exciting and mouth-watering Harry Potter themed recipes.

For my first blog, I decided to start with 2 recipes, the first being everyone’s favorite, Chocolate frogs, and the other being the most renowned drink, Butterbeer!

Chocolate frogs

Recipe from: https://www.artofwizardry.com
/harry-potter-chocolate-frogs/

Ingredients:
11.5 oz chocolate chips 1 bag; 326 grams
1/2 cup whipped peanut butter
nuts of your choice (optional)
Frog shaped mold

Instructions:
1. Place the chocolate chips into a medium bowl. Make sure the dish is microwave safe.
2. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir well. Be careful while stirring as the bowl gets hot, we don't want burning hands!
3. Put the chocolate back into the microwave for an additional 15 seconds. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted.
4. Pour about 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate into each mold. Using a silicone brush, spread the chocolate to cover the whole bottom of the mold. If you need more chocolate, add it. Then freeze for 10 minutes.
5. Take the mold out of the freezer. Fill each frog with a large teaspoon of peanut butter. I recommend adding a nut in the middle to add crunchiness! You can smoothly stick the nut with help of a spoon or knife.
6. Pour the remaining chocolate over the peanut butter and spread it to cover each frog. Freeze again, this time for 30 minutes.
7. Gently Pop out of the mold. Make sure they don’t run away!

Here’s how the finished product looks like. Delicious!

Butterbeer

This recipe is heavenly! Here is how the finished product looks like!

Some Fascinating Facts you might not know
Chocolate frogs came with a collectible card of a famous witch or wizard in each pack! On the site, you can visit honeydukes (in the Hogsmeade tab) and buy chocolate frogs for a little less than 13 Galleons each, and even get a packed card which you can open by going to your chest. Start your wizard card collection today!

Butterbeer was served cold in bottles and hot in "foaming tankards". In Hogsmeade, it's sold at The Three Broomsticks and The Hogs Head Inn. Although the fact that the latter pub's stock was described as "very dusty" suggested that it was not sold there very often. In Diagon Alley, the drink had been known to be sold at The Leaky Cauldron. You can visit Aggie’s Drinks (in the Hogsmeade tab) and buy them for 15 Galleons on the site! They are expensive compared to other drinks but they fill your thirst bar to the max!

Question of the day
Would you try having chocolate frogs and butterbeer at the same time since they both are considered to be sweet dishes?

Let me know in the comments!

Also make sure not to sleep while cooking, if you don’t want to incendio your kitchen!
