You've Got Owl 2.1
by Isla Brisbane
Welcome to
You’ve Got Owl! My name is
Isla Brisbane and this will be a weekly blog post filled with a little mystery and a game that you can participate in! So, of course, according to the title, it means you got something sent for you. However, before you run to your owl, let me set the mood first, alright? Here comes the RPG part!
Anyway, if you missed the article from last week, which is Edition 1.4, feel free to take a look at it
HERE!
Since you are reading this, you, {%FULLNAME%}, are still in the "Postcard Exchange Program for Young Wizards" program. How long has it been? You're not exactly sure, but it has certainly been a while. Not more than a semester, but definitely more than four months. You have collected more postcards, and ... well, you can't really fit them all in the chest next to your bed anymore, so you have to send some of them home and keep them there. Wait, you can also use the Room of Requirement, right? You mentioned it some time ago, and yet, you've never actually tried it. Yes, you can put some postcards there. In fact, due to the room adjusting itself to your needs, it provides you a wide wall that you can use to hang your postcards! How nice!
That day, your owl came again bringing another postcard. Ah, you actually just finished writing a postcard to be sent to someone in China. What a nice timing! You left your postcard for a while to read the one that you just received. Ah, this time, it's no longer from Indonesia, but the weird markings ... are there again.
OOG: There are two words forming one phrase in this postcard.
Hey there, {%FIRSTNAME%}!
How are you doing? That
might not be the perfect question for a first postc
ard, but hey! I'm Amelia. I live in Kaikoura, but I spend most of my time at school - boardin
g school, just like Hogwarts! My town is popular for
its wildlife. We have some tours that you
can join in - and you can see wh
ales! This picture is one of the wha
les that showed up during the tour. It's magical, you know? Whales might not
be magical creatures, b
ut they're not less ma
gical for me. You should see them by yourself some day!

As usual, you will find some
different letters written on each postcard. Those letters will form some words, and it's your job to find what words these postcards have! Gather these words from all the editions in one series, and after you find all the words, find one thing from the Harry Potter Universe that is related to these words! For example, if the hidden words are
steal, shiny, beast, cute, gold, then the final answer would be
Niffler!
Send ONLY the final answer through owl to
Isla Brisbane at the end of every series (so, according to the example,
you only need to send "Niffler" to me). If you get it correctly before the next series gets posted (there will be a deadline for the answer), then you will receive a little gift for your participation! Every series will have 3 editions, so make sure to always pay attention to the details and get the final answers according to your clues correctly!
Now, postcard explanation time, I present you
Kaikoura Whale Watching! I've never been here before, I purely got this from Google, hehe. Apparently, yes, you can go on a tour where you can watch a whale from a really close distance! I think it's amazing and now I kinda want to go there XD thank you,
Venus DeRose, for suggesting New Zealand! Now, feel free to comment with
an idea for the postcard for the next edition! One series will be from one country, so, we will still be in New Zealand next week. What place would you like to see from there?
