Today, we're going to learn about one of the muggle's products, the telephone, so you won't have trouble with using it anymore.

Introduction to the Telephone

The telephone was made by muggles quite early on. They have been adapted and formed into new forms. The telephone can come in different colors as well, but that doesn't affect the overall use of it. Even though telephones don't have any magical properties, Muggles use telephones daily and they can be quite useful.

The telephone is typically used for calling people from one place to another. It can be very useful if you are far apart from someone and need to talk to them. Telephones either have buttons and a screen or just a screen and a few buttons on the side. Those are used to call the person you want to call.

 

A Guide to Using the Telephone

• First, you need to get someone's phone number if you want to call them. A phone number is a series of numbers that when you type them in the telephone, it will call that other phone with the same number.
• When you have gathered the phone number, make sure you keep it in a safe place so you don't lose it while you're going to your telephone.
• To call the person you want to call, take the phone number and type in each number into the telephone. Sometimes you have to press 'enter' or 'call' as well to start the call.

Tips for using the Telephone

Your first time calling someone on the telephone might be a bit rough, so here are some tips so you can talk to the person you called without worrying.

• When you are speaking into the telephone, if it is too close to your mouth it will sound louder than you expected. Also, if the telephone is too far away, the person you called might not be able to hear what you said. Try to find the perfect distance away from the telephone so it sounds like how you wanted it to.
• Make sure each number in the phone number is typed in correctly into the telephone since if even just one number is wrong, it can call someone completely different.
• You should also make sure your telephone is fully charged. Yes, the telephone uses either a wire or a battery to charge and it's good to check that it's fully charged so it doesn't run out while you're in a call.

  Even though Muggles have their way of communicating, we magical folk have our own kind of communicating as well. It's just a bit different. An option for communication is through owls. However, when you're using owls, you must keep them fed and cared for and it may take quite a long time for your message to be delivered while the telephone is much more speedy. Having an owl is good company while the telephone isn't as much of a friend.
