In the last blog I posted, we learned a little bit about the microwave and today, we're going to be learning about the refrigerator so you won't have trouble with using it anymore.

 

An Introduction to the Refrigerator

The refrigerator is a strange muggle object that has the ability to cool things down when it's plugged in. It can be very useful if you want to save something for later or just having your food cool down faster.

Normally, a refrigerator will have a cold part and an even colder part called the freezer. You can put ice and such in the freezer since it might melt in the actual refrigerator portion. The refrigerator does use electricity, even though it cools things down.

 

A Short Guide to Using the Refrigerator

• Like normal, you should buy a refrigerator from a muggle store with muggle money. It won't help if you don't have a refrigerator to use.
• The refrigerator is a very large object that might be hard to move, using a few charms might help move the load.
• Once the refrigerator is in the place that you want it to be, you can start using it. Depending on the expansiveness of the refrigerator, it might have different qualities. For example, one refrigerator might let you have water from a spot inside while another will not have that function.

 

Tips and Tricks for using the Refrigerator

The refrigerator is quite a strange and complicated muggle object, and a lot can get messed up along the way. Here are some tips for using the refrigerator so you won't have as much trouble.

• You should make sure that everything is inside of the refrigerator. If there's anything hanging out then it will be quite hard to close the refrigerator.
• Every once in a while, it would also probably be a good idea to clean the interior of the refrigerator. A dirty refrigerator isn't exactly pleasing to really anyone.
• I'd recommend that you don't put uncovered food into the refrigerator as well. Who knows when there could be a little accident and you end up having to clean the refrigerator again.

  
  The Wizard Ways
  I thought that the spell Glacius was the best match to the refrigerator. Since the refrigerator has the ability to cool things down and Glacius does the same thing, they seemed a little similar in some ways.

  But Glacius does seem easier to use if you've learned the spell before, while the refrigerator is a touch more complicated in many different ways.
