Welcome back to another *Student ID: Creature*! What creature will be facing my wand of transfiguration today (and I’m disappointed to admit that we’re still talking figuratively, because even though I haven’t posted for a while, I still haven’t mastered human transfiguration)? Well today, lovely WoPians, today we are going to chatting about the basilisk. Yes, that sinister green monster is going to be the topic of today’s post, so sit back, try to relax and read on. •

House: I spent quite a bit of time considering this, because I don’t want to go with the obvious. So I thought long and hard about the basilisk’s deepest motives and the things that matter to them. And, I am pleased to report that, in conclusion, the basilisk belongs in…. (#sortinghatvibes) SLYTHERIN.

Guys, you can’t beat a classic. So yes, the basilisk is in Slytherin. I did actually consider Ravenclaw, but I think this creature is a bit more, shall we say, brawn over brains. You honestly don’t need to be THAT smart to hear a noise and follow it, or kill someone by looking at them.

Job: A basilisk is a 100% natural, locally grown spider repellent. Let’s just forget all the… uh… fatal side effects for a moment and picture this. You are having a lovely night at home when you spot a spider hanging out on your wall. What do you do? Well you call in a basilisk to sit there for a few seconds until your spider friend goes away.

Class:. I think a basilisk’s favourite class would be CoMC. As we know, the sound of a chicken is fatal to it, so CoMC would educate the basilisk about the creature that may pose a threat to it. You never know what’s out there, so it would be good for the basilisk to understand the risks involved with being itself.

And that is all! Now a quick word of warning, please don’t go out and try to befriend a basilisk. If you do happen to spot a spider, please don’t call a basilisk unless you have a highly trained chicken that squawks on demand and some kind of safety goggles that haven’t been invented yet! See you soon!

Oh and I’m really sorry about how bland and horrible the code is this week, I’m working on my iPad at the moment.

Bye!
