Sadia clutched her clipboard and pen. She was about to do her second blog, and that was interviewing someone… again. She had many choices, but she eventually settled on Kanae Koimisen, whom she didn’t know at all. But this was also a good chance to make new friends! Sadia gave Kanae a small smile before starting. “Ok Kanae, please do your best to answer these questions. . .” She peered at her clipboard before carefully listing off the questions she was going to ask. “So Kanae, how do you like it at Hogwarts? Have you made many friends in your time here? What do you think about the rules? If you could change one, which would that be and why? Where did you live before coming to Hogwarts? Who did you live with? What do you think about the classes? Which one is your favorite? And if you could have anything in the world, what would that be and why?”

She looked back up at him, hoping she didn’t say anything too fast, and patiently waited for Kanae’s answers, getting ready to write down everything he said.

So Kanae, how do you like it at Hogwarts? It's alright, I guess? It's very loud, I don't like that part, but everyone is so fascinating to watch. They're all so interesting, you see. I like observing how everyone gets on with their daily lives. Did you know that from what I've seen, the most common body language behavior shown when someone is nervous is to touch their hair? It's fascinating. And the classes are so strange too, they seem to care very loosely about morals or ethics or keeping us safe. I wrote that if I was in the Second Wizarding War, I wouldn't help fight, but I would come back after the fighting was over to scavenge the battlefield, and no one called a psychiatrist for me!

Have you made many friends in your time here? I guess I've made a few? Kuzuha Matsuhashi, of course, he's my best friend. And does Hudson count? If not, then I guess I haven't really made a lot of friend-friends.

What do you think about the rules? If you could change one, which would that be and why? I think that the rules are uh, rules for sure! And because rules are rules, they are indeed rules that should be ruled. But I don't like curfew, it's too restricting. I get why it's in place, of course, they can't have students running off into the forest in the middle of the night and getting themselves injured, but it feels like someone screwed a cap on my bottle. And the forest is interesting, okay? There are so many things in there that I want to see and observe and investigate..

Where did you live before coming to Hogwarts? Who did you live with? I lived mostly in Sapporo, Japan, and then Suffolk. I lived with my father, Kyoya Koimisen, and my stepmother Kozue Mizuki. They're both busy and demand very high of me and my siblings, but I know they mean the best. Oh, siblings, right! My little sisters are Yui and Ichika Koimisen, I love them more than life and if you ever hurt them I'll find you.

What do you think about the classes? Which one is your favorite? The classes are pretty interesting, except for Potions. It's gotten kind of repetitive. Every class follows the same format---show up, brew a potion, leave. I like Care of Magical Creatures the most because each week we're doing different things! And the professor is really cool. Miss Alice is very nice-seeming.

And if you could have anything in the world, what would that be and why? I'd rather put in the effort to get the things I want and learn from the experiences I earn by doing so than just get the things I long for. But if I had to choose.. A lot of really fancy, aquarium-level state-of-the-art massive, massive tanks for my fish, because they deserve the best.

Sadia nodded and finished writing the last bits down. “Ook Kanae, I think that’s everything. Thank you for letting me interview you and have an amazing day!” She gave him a friendly smile and packed up all her things before leaving to finish the blog. .. or maybe finish homework..
