Hippogriff

Hello again, my lovely WoPian friends! Welcome back to another *Student ID: Creature*! Before we start talking about human transfiguration again, let’s talk about coding transformation. The wonderful Kilikani offered to make me this code, so here it is, being much more visually pleasing than MY codes. Round of applause for her please! Now, today’s creature. Any ideas? No? Last chance… going once, going twice, going THREE TIMES... oh right, I'm not selling the poor creature! Today I will be attempting to transfigure a HIPPOGRIFF into a little student, although (you must know what’s coming by now) I won’t actually be touching my wand because my teachers still refuse to teach me human transfiguration!

(should I just try it anyway?)

House: I spent a bit of time deciding between Gryffindor and Slytherin for this one. It was really hard to choose, I considered employing a sorting hat to help me out, but I wasn’t sure if that would be allowed. Is it allowed? Anycase, for this article I used my very own brain to dive deep into the motives of a Hippogriff. In the end, I decided on Slytherin. The Hippogriff is proud and brave and CERTAINLY capable of looking after itself. Which could be the traits of a Gryffindor, except for that keyword ‘itself’. From my research, Hippogriffs don’t tend to do… things… for other humans or even their own kind. So, we’re going with Slytherin (sneks, I do not mean to offend xD)

.Job: I was stuck on this one. I was stuck like I was standing in a puddle of treacle, glue and slime. So instead of labouring over the decision, I popped into chat for a quick interview. I asked everyone what job they thought a Hippogriff would have and fortunately, I got some answers! Mira Astaret suggested that a Hippogriff would make a good Auror, and you know what, I agree with this because I doubt the bad guys are going to be polite enough to bow to the Hippogriff! Another helpful suggestion came from Star McSnatch, who suggested that a Hippogriff would make a good spy. I can totally see this, because Hippogriff can totally tell who’s shifty and who isn’t.

Then Star brought up the idea of a Hippogriff in a snazzy suit and I was completely sold on the spy idea.

Favourite Class: Flying! Who doesn’t want to have that free feeling? A flying class would be the time for the Hippogriff to shine… and soar… SoAR… hang on…

would a Hippogriff like ancient runes?

hmmm maybe.

And that is all for today! I’ll see you around for more *Student ID: Creature*! If you want to suggest an creature and some human qualities, or just a creature feel free to send me an owl!

Oh and Happy Easter, go eat all the chocolate in the world!
