The Great Pet Extravaganza

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are all having a wonderful day. First of all, welcome to the “Great Pet Extravaganza” blog series! This series will introduce you to some pets owned by your fellow students. Without further ado, let’s begin with the interviews :))

Special Guests

Today I have a few special students joining me. In our first set of questions, I will be interviewing the wonderful Alexia Graham and the lovely Adelaide Magnolis!

The Interview

Celeste: Hiya Alexia and Addy! How are you both doing today?

Alexia: I'm doing pretty well, a bit exhausted with Quidditch and all on top of classes but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Adelaide: Hmm- pretty good! Kind of tired with all the classes I'm taking this year, O.W.L.s level and all, but I enjoy them so I can't complain too much.

Celeste: I’m doing well, thank you for asking! Without further ado, let’s start with the questions! First things first, do you mind telling everyone what type of pet you brought with you and it's name?

Alexia: I brought along my toad, her name is Gorf! I have some others in my dorm but she seemed excited to get to go out.

Adelaide: I brought my niffler! His name is Talako, normally he's at home with my guardian because of school rules and all, so I think he's happy to get a chance to be somewhere different.

Celeste: Ah, such cute names! Do you remember when and where you adopted your pets, Gorf and Talako? It's alright if you don't remember, I'm sure it was a while ago.

Alexia: I got Gorf a long time ago! I believe she joined the family back in my second year. I adopted a lot of pets that year actually!

Adelaide: Oh, gosh..... a while ago now, I think in my second year as well, actually! I honestly don't remember too clearly how I got him, but he's great!

Celeste: Wow, both of you have had your pets for a long time now! I just adopted two new pets, but as of right now they are still young. The critters you brought today must be quite special, have you adopted any other pets to keep them company?

Alexia: Oh my, yes for sure. At one point I had something like 30 pets but I just got too busy and had to let some of them go. Now I just have 5 here, plus my niffler and about 33 snakes back at home.

Adelaide: Oh, yes.... I told myself at one point I would only have a few pets, but if you see my dorm.... that didn't work out too well. I have several cats, a few mice.... a gecko at home! And I just recently got about 9 puffskeins that really like to perch on me, they're quite entertaining honestly.

Celeste: Aww I hope they all get along together! Maintaining multiple animals can be hard, but I'm sure you both take great care of them! Do you have any fun facts about your pets that you would like to share?

Alexia: Well one fun fact about my pygmy puff is that she's named after a muggle computer program, Microsoft Office. I remember having to do something with it in Muggle Studies one time and just thought it was kinda funny if I used muggle technology terms as pet names. Looking back on it, it may be a bit silly but it still makes me laugh!

Adelaide: Well, I'm not sure this counts as fun, but seeing as Talako is a niffler.... let's just say my siblings and I had to learn very quickly how to keep all our valuables somewhere that a searching niffler can't find. It's a bit easier for me since I've been at Hogwarts the whole time I've had him, but my younger siblings definitely had a couple losses from their belongings.

Celeste: Interesting! I adopted a few pets of my own as well! Currently I have two cats, a toad, a rat, and a mouse. Our pets should have a pet play date at one point! I’m sure they would love playing with each other. Ah well, it seems like we’re running a little late on time. I enjoyed interviewing you guys, have a lovely rest of your day!

Alexia: It was nice getting to talk to you. And yes, I would love to meet your pets some time! I'm always looking for more friends for my pets.

Adelaide: It was nice getting to answer questions! And absolutely, as many pets of my own that I have I'm sure they wouldn't mind having a few more friends.

I hope you all enjoyed this week's fun interview! If you see Alexia or Addy around Hogwarts or in chat, don’t forget to wave hello...

and go cuddle their pets of course!
