Acromantula

Hello Wizards and Witches!

Let's start straight away with a little warning... If you're arachnophobic, this subject may make you feel uncomfortable!

Acromantulas are large spiders... Excuse me, I don't think you understand. When I say "large", I'm talking about creatures of up to 15 feet in length.

Yes-yes, you read that right!

If it's any consolation, these creatures are not endemic to our beautiful country of England, but rather to Southeast Asia, in the dense forests of Borneo. Apparently, they were created by Asian sorcerers a long time ago?

Their purpose? To protect treasures. Apparently. But to say they're innocent creatures would be too good to be true, so let's get down to business.

These are creatures classified XXXXX by the Ministry of Magic, gifted with language and capable of producing poison. So far, so good in their role as guardians. Where it gets fun is when we learn that they have a taste for human flesh... Superb guardians, I tell you!

If we're going to add a little fun to all this, it seems they like to live in colonies. Hundreds of them.

Did I tell you earlier that acromandulas are not endemic to England? Right. Now then. Keep calm, but I've got a confession to make. We have traces of these big beasts in our country. They are thought to have arrived in the 1890s.

We'll talk more about subspecies of and famous Acromantulas later, but we'll stop there for now.

...

Are you still here?

Ah. Ok. To reassure you, the best way to defend yourself against them is to have a Basilisk as a pet, but we'll talk about that big snake another time!

What do you mean it's not a solution?

I don't know what you mean.

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Have a nice day!

Magically Yours,
