Hello there!
Welcome to Skeeter Scandal, where in each article we will look at two characters from the Harry Potter universe, provide a basic profile of them and some scandalous gossip!
So for our first article, why not kick things off with analysing the life of Rita Skeeter herself. We all know who she is but what skeletons lie behind Skeeters closet doors? And for our second victim, a Gryffindor this time… Miss Lavender Brown!
Rita Skeeter
So without further ado we introduce to do you, the one and only Ms Rita Skeeter! A gossip loving journalist with little care or consideration for her interviewees boundaries, she wrote articles for the Daily Prophet, Witch Weekly and the Quibber (though that one was not so much by choice...) Now this wouldn’t be much of a scandalous article without us mentioning her unregistered, and ‘mildly’ illegal, animagus form! Though we must admit that becoming a beetle might make discovering the necessary facts for certain types of articles much easier, but at what cost? Certainly wouldn’t encourage trust in the readership now would it!
Now it’s not much of a secret that Rita Skeeter lacks a certain number of redeeming qualities, however we are not ones to dwell on the negative and so here are some of her perhaps more 'positive' qualities.
Ms Skeeter was the bearer of her fair share of nicknames, ranging from the Queen of Quills to Poison-Pen holder. In her peak she interacted with many celebrities, even covering many of their lives. She liked to share peoples stories, with many biographies and articles under her belt it certainly can’t be denied. We shall however overlook certain content of these books in the effort to provide a more positive aspect.
So the answer the question; what Skeletons does Rita Skeeter have tucked away in her closet? Well I'm afraid we can only speculate as to the answer of that one! It cannot be denied she was a vicious but successful journalist, and despite her many faults she had an uncanny habit of always coming out on top! Not even Hermione Granger, the brightest witch of her age, could do much to stop her. Although that stint in the jar certainly did temper the 'Queen of Quills' for awhile.

Lavender Brown
And now we introduce Lavender Brown, a classmate of Harry Potters and while not quite a gossip queen, she certainly seems as though some skeletons may lurk in her closet!
Lavender Brown was probably best described by her peers a lovesick puppy, always following someone around with a crush. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and often giggled and snickered away with her friends which while not a fatal flaw, may have impacted her popularity with the boys!
Lavender attended Hogwarts at the same time as the golden trio and even dated Ron Weasley who she often referred to as 'Won Won' much to Ron's disgust.
She was a divination lover and could often be found in Trelawney's company, perhaps consulting her on her love life?
Lavender wasn't only about highschool crushes though as she fought in Dumbledore's Army and played at active part in the Wizarding War!
We can only speculate now, due to unfortunate circumstances that often accompany war, but she may very well have gone on to become the next Divination Professor, or maybe a Journalist for Witch Weekly a magazine of which we imagine her to have been a regular subscriber.
Further more, we can't forget to mention Lavender was also known to enjoy a good gossip! She might even have played a part in some of the many rumours that seemed to follow Harry!
In our hunt for gossip on Lavender Brown, we couldn't help but notice a certain lack of nicknames for one who seemed to enjoy dishing them out! What do you think Lavender's nickname would have been?
Conclusion
Well that brings us to the end of this week's Blog post, and wraps up our first edition of Skeeter Scandal!
