A small, but warm, bakery stood near the end in Hogsmeade Village. It was run by a married couple who had tied the knott around 30 years ago. Their wedding anniversarry marks the grand oppening of thier beloved bakery. This was because this establishment was a wedding gift from him to her.

You see, Ophelia and Hecate were born into rival families. Rivals in terms of rival shops in the very same Hogsmeade Village. Their original shops were long gone now, but that is how the lovely couple met. As competitors, without any say in it. This lovely couple absolutely loves telling their coustomers their story... if they ask for it of course.

They met when they were both just 13 years old. For as long as she could remember, Ophelia loved baking. Seeing what she could make, what she could decorate or enchant, smelling the absolute warmth the baked goods produced, all of it. Something she loved more than baking, was sharing. So it was not a surprise to her parents when their daughter asked if she could make cupcakes for the neighboring shops. They gave her permision, but they also gave her specific instruction to not make or deliver some to Hecate and his family at the opposing joke shop.
 
She never really understood her parents' distrust and dislike for the family. Ophelia tried to rationalize it in her head many many times, but nothing. So it did not surprise her when she felt a pit in her stomach as she visted every shop besides one. It also did not surprise her when she trusted her gut instead of her parents. She made her way into the opposing shop for the first time and there behind the counter was Hecate.

He was reading a book while his dad was moving boxes from in the back. Ophelia must of gotten lucky since Hecate's mum had just walked to the back to help her husband as she came in; instructing her son to help whomever walked in. The two families had met eachother of course, aware of who should avoid.

But Hecate, camly asked Ophelia what she was doing in their store. "I baked cupcakes for everyone in the Village. Best for last." She explained kindly. He thought for a moment and took just one of the cupcakes she offered. That way his parents wouldn't ask any questions. That is if he could quickly finish the cupcake before they came back. Hecate thanked the girl before she left.

Ophelia had left the shop planning to pretend that nothing happened. Although she was happy with her decision. However, it looked like that wasn't a choice for her to make as Hecate came to visit her as she and her parents were closing up for today. He had sucesfully sneaked past everyone to say thank you. It turns out that cupcake was the best pastry he had ever tasted.

Thus began a friendship between the two. They had to sneak past both sets of parents to hang out, but both thought it worth it. A few days after they met, Ophelia agreed to teach Hecate how to bake. They bonded through this hobby and relized how much they had in common and how much they didn't. Their friendship developed very naturally. At 15 Ophelia realized she had fell in love with her best friend. At 16 Hecate realized it to. At 16 they both plucked up the courage to tell their parents after Ophelia asked him on a date. It took a bit of convicning, but eventually they got their parents' blessings, not wanting to keep their offsprings from being happy.

Then they got married. Married so happily. After the ceremony, Hecate brought his wife to Hogsmeade. Ophelia thought that it was to visit his family's shop, a poetic end to their day, vissiting the place they first offically met. But he brought her to the shop in between both of their family's. A bakery so that Ophelia can share her wonderful pastries with everyone once more.

She was beyond touched. She didn't think she could be more happy then she already was. As all new adventures, there was an air of uncertainty. But, as she held her husband's hand, she knew that all will be well.
