It's said that until the late 20th century St Patricks day was much bigger of a celebration to Irish diaspora than it was even in Ireland.

St Patricks Day celebrations generally involve parades and festivals, along with traditional Irish music, and wearing green attire or shamrocks. Where in the past there was more banquests and dances as the way of celebrating.On St Patricks Day its customary to wear shamrocks, green clothing or accessories.
