Issue #2 - " Hear Me Roar! "
Hi there!!! Welcome to 'Catch Me If You Can!' The blog article that lets you get a closer look at the students here at Hogwarts who play for their respective House's Quidditch Team. Each issue will put a spot light on a different player so you can get to know them more off the field! Their (IG) personalities, skills, etc. ...That's if I can catch them of course! They are very speedy xD!
I'm August or 'Auggie' Lumsden and I have the privilege of being on The Gryffindor Quidditch team and the privilege to write these blogs! So with the intro out of the way let's get to the player of this edition! Introducing hard-hitting Lion, a previous Captain, and my beautiful girlfriend: Charlotte Dovemuir!

Auggie: My lovey girlfriend! How are you today? And thank you for letting me interview you, loves!
Lottie: I’m doing good! Though… Well, I am a bit busy with schoolwork now that I’m in seventh year, so there’s a tiny part of me that is relieved that there haven’t been any matches so far. I’ll always make time for you, though, Auggie <3
Auggie: Awww, I'm so honnoured. Awww, I'm so honnoured. You sure know how to make a boy feel special. I'll always make time for you too! <3 Now your first question: what made you try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team in the first place?
Lottie: Hmm, that is a bit of a complicated thing to get into, and I’m not sure how much I really want to share about that situation…
Auggie: That's okay, Lottie. You can share as much as you'd like, I promise.
Lottie: I guess it was a bit of rebellion? I wasn’t allowed to do many things at the time, especially if they weren’t deemed “lady-like”, and Quidditch was all that and more. So, I tried out as soon as I heard about it, even made captain in my first year… Apparently I am good at bossing people around.
Auggie: Since this interview is going to be written down, I'd like to say on the record that I am smiling so big right now. You go, babe!!! Show all the disaprovers whose boss! Though, I wouldn't say you're bossy, you were a great boss! :) Now, what is your favorite part of being on the team?
Lottie: Well, at first it was the adrenaline of the games, if I am being honest. I wasn’t very good with people when I first came to Hogwarts. I’m still not the best, really, but I have started to enjoy and appreciate my teammates a lot more. You were a big part of that, really.
Auggie: ...And now I'm blushing... awww! I think you're terrific when it comes to people, love. I know our teammates and I appriciate you! So, throughout your years as a key member of the team, what is your favorite Quidditch position to play and why?
Lottie: My favorite? Beater. It takes a lot more precision than you might think, and it can really make or break a match. Plus, swinging with a bat at an angry ball can be fun at times. I’m stuck as our team’s seeker a lot of the time though, so I don’t get to play it often.

Auggie: Oh, I don't doubt it for a second! I remember you assigned me to play beater once and... well... I tried. xD You and the other Lions make it look so easy! Okay, next question I have... I know I use a lot of endearments when refering to you, loves, but when you are on the pitch do you have a nickname our teammates or others call you?
Lottie: Not that I know of… Why? Have you heard something? Because if you have, I demand you tell me, or your boyfriend privileges get taken away for a week, no hugs or anything of the sort.
Auggie: :O Nooo, a whole week??? That's unbarable! :( But luckily for me, no one's called you a nickname behind your back! But I promise I will tell you right away! Speaking of others, if you had to pick one person in the stands that is your favorite to come and watch, who would it be?
Lottie: That’s a good question. Any of my friends, I suppose. If I’m honest, I get so focussed on the games I am playing I often don’t even notice the crowd around me. Well, I know it’s there, obviously, but I don’t really see individual faces in it.
Auggie: Eyes in the sky! I do love seeing them in the stands, whenever I'm not focusing on staying in the air! Now, if you had to play for a different house team which would it be and why? I would hate playing on a team against you, so I will follow you to whichever team you pick. xD
Lottie: Hmm, well, I guess I wouldn’t be mad about playing for any of them. All teams are really good! I have always been told that people could really see me as a Slytherin, though, so I’d probably have to go with the Sep Adders.
Auggie: Ooo, the Sep Adders are a wonderful team! I bet Andre's happy with that answers. Now, the next question do you have any fears when you're up in the air and playing?
Lottie: Not really, except for letting my team down, I guess? They always assure me that I haven’t, but well, when you’re a seeker you kind of get in your head about it. The snitch is worth a lot of points, after all, and it’s often what makes a team win or lose.
Auggie: Awww, loves. Getting in your head due to the pressure of suceeding is so understanable. I want to quickly reasure you again, that you have never let us down and you can never let us down <3 For the next question, my personal answer for you is none xD, but what's one quidditch position you think you would not be good at?
Lottie: Well, I’ve filled all of them during my seven years at Hogwarts, and though I am often playing seeker, I do have to say that that’s the one I am the worst at. Maybe because I get in my head about it a little? I wouldn’t say I am bad at any of them, though, as I’m a capable and skilled person.
Auggie: You are very capable and skilled, I agree! I hope that you can play the other positions, you're going to rock it as much as you do seeker. If anything I'll volunteer as tribute for you <3! Now for my personal favorite question! Lottie, if a song could play full blast as you walked out onto the field, what song would you pick and why?
Lottie: Hmm… I’m not that well-versed in music, since I was raised to like classical music. Not really what you want to hear when you step on the pitch, though. Maybe Peur des Filles by L’impératrice? It’s a bit about being powerful as a girl, and well, it has a nice beat…

Auggie: That's going straight into my playlist! I love that it's about being powerful as a girl, it matches you very well :D. And lastly, if you could give any advice to the young students who want to try out for Quidditch, what would it be?
Lottie: Don’t be afraid, really. Things are going to happen and you’re going to make mistakes, sure but your team won’t mind. You’ll learn as you go, and you definitely don’t need any prior experience to join a team. Take a chance, and if it doesn’t work out, well you can always step away at a later point! Though, if that’s the case, do communicate it with your captain! I know I hated not getting any responses on stuff like that when I was still the Gryffindor Captain…
Auggie: Communication is very important and that's such good advice, Lottie! Take that leap of faith if you wanted to try. And alrighty... that's all I have for you today, loves!
Thank you again to Lottie, for answering all my interview questions and being so lovely like always :D! I love you Lottie!
And I hope you enjoyed reading and that you got to know this Quidditch player better! If you are able, make sure to catch the next Quidditch Game! That's all from me now! Thank you for reading!
