Issue #4 - " Sunshine In A Bottle "
Hi there!!! Welcome to 'Catch Me If You Can!' The blog article that lets you get a closer look at the students here at Hogwarts who play for their respective House's Quidditch Team. Each issue will put a spot light on a different player so you can get to know them more off the field! Their (IG) personalities, skills, etc. ...That's if I can catch them of course! They are very speedy xD!
I'm August or 'Auggie' Lumsden and I have the privilege of being on The Gryffindor Quidditch team and the privilege to write these blogs! So with the intro out of the way let's get to the player of this eddition, August Lumsden! (:o! That's me!)
Me: Well folks, it looks like the time has come for me to sit with myself and talk! Since I am sadly graduating soon :') I thought it would be a good idea to let my dear readers learn more about me. So... Hi Auggie :D! How are you today?
Auggie (me again xD): Hello me! I'm doing good, how are you?
Me: I'm good, thanks! Ready for your first question? GOOD! What made you try out for the Quidditch Team?
Auggie: Deffinently my family! Not that they pressured me or anything, not at all. But because I just grew up playing with my awsome siblings in our backyard and I've always just loved it! They made me have such good memories of it that I wanted to extend that to my Hogwarts days.
Me: Oh yes, you and your many siblings! Since you (sadly) can't have your siblings with you, what is your favorite part of being on the team?
Auggie: My favorite part is definently my teamates, they are home away from home! They are great and it's an honnour to play along side them! Lottie (my beautiful girlfriend) as well has made my expirence on the team so special right out of the gate! I love them all!
Me: Love the love, me! Next question, what is your favorite Quidditch position to play and why?
Auggie: I really enjoy being one of the three chasers. I think it's because I really love flying fast and as a chaser I can zip through the sky!
Me: You're still as hyper as you were as a first year, Augs xD Okay, next question, when you are on the pitch do you have a nickname people call you?
Auggie: You bet :D! And... I don't know about on the pitch, but off the pitch some of my friends and family call me 'Sunshine Lumsden!' They've said that it's because of my personality, which I'm honnored! But I also think it's because I'm a morning person xD
Me: I do hope the sun likes us as much as we like the sun! But, speaking of our lovely family / found family... if you had to pick one person in the stands that is your favorite to come and watch, who would it be?
Auggie: Oh a hard question! Only one person? :c Any of my siblings or friends for sure.... but if I can only pick one specifically, I think I'll pick my dad! He always tries his best to come see the matches and I appriciate it so much.
Me: Love you dad :D! Now, if you had to play for a different house team which would it be and why? Though, I happen to know that you love the Lions very much!
Auggie: I do <3! And another only 'one answer' question, you really pick the hard questions, huh Auggie? xD Hmm, I really wouldn’t mind playing for any of the other teams. They are all so great! But if I had to choose one, I'd like to keep my bestie, Andre, company on the Slytherin Team... so the Sep Adders if they'll have me :D!
Me: We sure do love our bestie! Now for the next question! Do you have any fears when you're up in the air and playing?
Auggie: Not really! ...Though I know that changes depending on what happens during the game. I like to live in the moment so no fears before, but if there's like an emergency or injury on the pitch I get fear / worry for my mates.
Me: Awww, I'm sensing a theme to our answers, me xD<3! For the next question, what's one quidditch position you think you would not be good at?
Auggie: Ooo ooo! I know the answer xD! It's beater... I had to fill that position once for a game against the Snakes And it was so hard! My friends and my big brother, Owen, were on the opposite team and aiming the bludgers towards them? I couldn't do it D: I don't think I'm cut out for it :')
Me: We'll stick to flying and scoring in style, for sure!!! Now, the readers might know that this is our favorite question: if a song could play full blast as you walked out onto the field, what song would you pick and why?
Auggie: I really do love this question, I have thought about this a lot! I'd have to pick the song 'Lion' by Saint Mesa! Because the bass of it makes me feel so pumped! And also go Lions!
Me: Love that song! And lastly, Auggie, if you could give any advice to the young students who want to try out for Quidditch, what would it be?
Auggie: Go out there and try your best :D! YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! It's more than okay if you are nervous, but being yourself is the best way to achieve your goals and there is no harm in trying! And who knows maybe you'll find your long lasting relationships here!
