Lara Montgomery: Even though you teach transfiguration, do you have a different favorite subject?
Frederick Martin: My favorite subject is History of the Dark Arts, though that is not reached here. Transfiguration is one of the next best things.
Lara Montgomery: How have you found your teaching days at Hogwarts?
Frederick Martin: They are interesting. I am used to a bit of chaos, but children were new to me. I have been here for a year, however, and believe I have done well with the learning curve.
Lara Montgomery: Did you always know that you wanted to teach at Hogwarts when you were younger?
Frederick Martin: Ha! Urm. I mean, no. Teaching had never been part of my life's plan. However, plans change. You either adapt to what life throws at you or you get left behind.
Lara Montgomery: Well what made you send an application for transfiguration professor at Hogwarts?
Frederick Martin: I simply needed a job, they were hiring. It worked out.
Lara Montgomery: Who is your favorite teacher here at Hogwarts even though you aren’t a student?
Frederick Martin: Obviously, Angela Tremaine.
Lara Montgomery: Favorite student?
Frederick Martin: I don't like to play favorites, I believe it discourages equal learning.
Lara Montgomery: What’s your least favorite subject taught at Hogwarts?
Frederick Martin: I don't have a least favorite subject.
