Sadia clutched her clipboard and pen. She was about to do her first-ever blog, and that included interviewing someone. She had many choices, but she eventually settled on Beth Star, whom she didn’t know at all. But this was also a good chance to make new friends! Sadia gave Beth a small smile before starting.

“Ok Beth, please do your best to answer these questions. . .” She peered at her clipboard before carefully listing off the questions she was going to ask. “So Beth, how do you like it at Hogwarts? Have you made many friends in your time here? What do you think about the rules? If you could change one, which would that be and why? Where did you live before coming to Hogwarts? Who did you live with? What do you think about the classes? Which one is your favorite? And if you could have anything in the world, what would that be and why?”

 

She looked back up at Beth, hoping she didn’t say anything too fast, and patiently waited for Beth’s answers, getting ready to write down everything she said.

 

      

Beth was excited for the interview. She had never done one! It was her first time and she was determined to everything to expectations. The interviewer, Sadia had asked her to answer some questions. She had asked her "how do you like it at Hogwarts? Have you made many friends in your time here? What do you think about the rules? If you could change one, which would that be and why? Where did you live before coming to Hogwarts? Who did you live with? What do you think about the classes? Which one is your favorite? If you could have anything in the world, what would that be and why?"

 

Beth thought long and hard. These were some very thoughtful questions.

"Well, I love Hogwarts, it's like my second home. I've made some friends of course, but it did take quite a long time before I opened up to them all."

 

She took a deep breath, there were a lot of questions to answer. Was it always like that in an interview? Of course, she had no idea.

 

"I think the rules are quite fair, it's not that difficult to follow. I do sometimes feel too stressed or preoccupied to find time to chill but otherwise, it's quite fair. Hmmm, if I could change one, is that you have to be a specific age to actually date. I mean I've seen and heard some people around my age dating already and I do think that sometimes, it could affect the persons learning."

 

Beth felt that she had been talking mechanically like a robot. She stopped for a moment to catch her breath before continuing.

 

"I lived in a mansion-like house before Hogwarts. That was before my parents died. When they did, I moved to a normal muggle house with my grandparents. I love the classes so much. Both my parents were magical so I read textbooks before even starting Hogwarts. I love magic, and the classes are both entertaining and informative. Oh, and the teachers are very nice as well. My favorite class has to be Defence against the Dark Arts. If I could have anything I want in the world, it would probably be to have peace in the wizarding world because who wants people to die or fight every single day or live life in terror."

 

Finally, she had answered all the questions. Beth sincerely hoped that she had done everything correctly. She looked at Sadia for her reply.

 

      

Sadia nodded and finished writing the last bits down. “Ook Beth, I think that’s everything. Thank you for letting me interview you and have an amazing day!” She gave Beth a friendly smile and packed up all her things before leaving to finish the blog.
