Star McSnatch The Starcather
Star floated through the rich white clouds. She had no idea how she had gotten up so high, but she felt a weird sense of peace washing over her. She paid no mind to the birds flying past or even how she was flying in the first place. That would all come later. For now, she just floated.

"Honk Hello!" A goose called from down below. Star shifted her body and began to descend toward the goose. It was a large bird, much larger than a normal goose should be. "You're Star McSnatch! The Starcatcher! I've heard legends of you!"

"Legends?" Star asked in a clear, whimsical voice. "What kind of legends?" Star was pretty sure she wasn't a starcatcher, whatever that was.

"Oh yeah. HONK! A girl named Star would fly up in the sky. Ya know, learn to be a starcatcher. Sometimes there are stars that go the wrong way-"

Star gasped. "Like that one?" She pointed towards a star that was plummeting at an insane speed. "Oh my! It's going the wrong way! It's supposed to be in the sky, not falling to the ground!" Star watched the star fall but then her eye caught on something else. "And a washing machine sure isn't supposed to be floating to the stars!"

So Star was stuck. Rescuse the star or the washing machine? She had little time to think of any ideas. That's how she ended up freefalling from the sky. The wind bit at her cheeks and she felt like screaming. But she knew she could fly, so why start screaming? She managed the grasp the tiny star.

It was a joyful moment as Star the Starcatcher rose slowly towards the sky. She placed the tiny star back in it's place in the sky. Yes, she was Star McSnatch, The Starcatcher..

OH WAIT! SHE HAD FORGOTTEN THE WASHING MACHINE!
Thank's so much to Star McSnatch for giving me the prompt! 'A girl floating in what seems to be the sky suddenly sees something fall upwards.' I thought it was awesome and I had so much fun writing this short story! Keep em coming!
