A Day in the Life

Hi there! Welcome to A Day in the Life! This blog really stood out to me and so I’ve decided to bring it back! The purpose of this blog is to give you a glimpse into the life of different WoP staff. Today, we are going to be interviewing:

Gabriel Warner!

He is the HoH of Hufflepuff and Head of Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement!

Flora: Hello Mr. Warner. So, to start off this interview, I was wondering did you ever plan on becoming a HoH?

Gabriel: I can't say that I did! I adore kids, but with my history of working either in law enforcement or potioneering, it wasn't something I really saw myself doing. But when I found out that the opportunity was available, it seemed like a great fit!

Flora: Wow. Well, you are an amazing HoH! May I ask what are some things you do as HoH?

Gabriel: I help organize the House teams and House notice board, as well as aid the students with Quidditch. I arrange rewards for hardworking students who earn a lot of points, as well! I'm also always here to support any of the students (not just Hufflepuffs!) who need a listening ear.

Flora: I’ve heard that you work in the Ministry. What is your job there and what is it like?

Gabriel: My job in the Ministry is Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement! I oversee all facets of LE, including Mrs. Lee's Aurors, the hit wizard squadrons, public defense and government prosecutory officials, and all sorts of other paperwork vagaries. While at MACUSA, I....well it's complicated, but I was on a special operations team in the hit wizard investigative division. It was difficult work. Honestly running a department is easier in a lot of ways!

Flora: Wow! That sounds like a very interesting and hard job! How do you balance working in the ministry as well as being HoH?

Gabriel: With some difficulty, especially when you throw family into the mix! I'm grateful to my boyfriend for being so willing to help with my daughters, and for amazing people to work with.

Flora: Yes, that totally understandable; it's always great to have people who support what you do! What do you like to do in your free time?

Gabriel: The free time I have, I tend to spend with my family: my boyfriend and daughters mean the world to me. I have other hobbies, but there's really nothing I'd do without either Cana or Maelys and Carina.

Flora: Family is definitely important! Last but not least: What is your favorite part about Hogwarts?

Gabriel: The kids! There is such a sweet community of kiddos in this place, and I couldn't be prouder of most of them. It's beautiful to see!
