Overview

The Flitterbloom is a magical plant that has long, swaying tentacles and, whilst being perfectly harmless, it bears some resemblance to the very dangerous Devil’s Snare.
The Flitterbloom can be kept as a pot plant in the house, but it can also grow outside in the garden.

History

In January 1996, there was a tragic incident at the St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, when Miriam Strout, a healer at the hospital, accidentally mistook a Devil’s Snare that was sent to patient Broderick Bode, for a Flitterbloom. When the convalescing Bode touched the plant, he was strangled to death by it.
