Overview

The wide eye potion is mainly used to prevent tiredness or awaken someone who has been stunned or a person who is under a sleeping spell, it’s is said to be brewed by students early in their studies since it teaches them about timing and precision in heating (usually when it comes to making potions)

History

The potion has been used in Hogwarts for centuries, especially when it comes to early morning classes, since it has been rumoured that students brew the potion secretly just to stay awake during exams.

This potion was by Severus Snape taught to his 3rd year students.

Recipe
First part:
  1. Add six snake fangs to the mortar
  2. Add four measures of standard ingredients to the mortar
  3. Add six dried billywig stings to your cauldron
  4. Heat on medium temperature for 30 seconds
  5. Crush the ingredients that are in your mortar
  6. Add four measures of the crushed ingredients to your cauldron
  7. stir three times, clockwise
  8. Wave your wand
Leave the potion to brew and return in:
8 hours if you are using a copper cauldron
14 hours if you are using a brass cauldron
23 hours if you are using a pewter cauldron

Second part:
  1. Add two sprigs of wolfsbane to your cauldron
  2. Stir three time, anti-clockwise
  3. Wave your wand to complete the potion
