Overview

Doxycide potion is mainly used in pest control, usually to deal with doxy infestation. It is considered safe around muggles if handled properly, though protective gloves and glasses are still highly recommended.

History

Doxycide was first invented by a man named Zygmunt Budge in the early 16th century. He designed it to deal with doxy infestations in wizarding homes; however, in his first attempt, the doxycide only made the doxies even more furious, and they set his house on fire. Upon perfecting the potion, he successfully rode them out of the village, and thus the Doxycide was known as Anti Doxy Spray. The potion later became widely popular and used by the Minister of Magic Pest Sub-Division, who then refined it for safer public use.
