Overview
The potion is meant to lift the drinker’s mood and ease their feelings of sadness or fatigue, it is said to be careful with it, though. While useful in small doses, too much can lead to uncontrollable singing or excessive daydreaming that’s why the potion must be brewed carefully, as improper stirring can cause side effects such as overexcitement and giddiness.
History
The potion was famously taught by Professor Horace Slughorn during his time as Potions master at Hogwarts. He taught it as a fine example of how subtle potion adjustments could change magical outcomes, still to this day the origins of the potion remain unknown, but is still a favorite among skilled brewers.
