Overview

The hate potion is the opposite of a Love potion instead of affection, it aims to dispel it by revealing the most unpleasant traits the drinker may have ignored. It’s often said the potion has an emotionally manipulative nature, which is why it’s rarely taught in standard potion classes and is considered unethical if used without permission.

History

The potion was first mentioned by Gritzel Hurtz, who recommended wizards struggling with unreturned love, she described it as a way to see clearly again, meaning the flaws of the person one admired, because of its strong emotional effects it was never approved for classroom use and is rarely brewed today.
