Overview
A parasitic plant, mistletoe has white berries and is traditionally used for decoration around Christmas. It is also known as a romantic plant, and muggles see it as a symbol of peace.
History
The berries are used to brew the antidote to common poisons and the forgetfulness potion. The berries are also highly potent and shouldn't be consumed.
1989 - 1990: Pomona Sprout taught sixth year students at Hogwarts how to cultivate mistletoe.
1992 / 1995: Mistletoe was used as decoration in the Great hall and room of requirement.
1996: Used as a decoration as well, hanging along the corridors of Hogwarts during Christmas.
