Moly is a special and very powerful plant that can be consumed to counteract enchantments. It can also be used to brew potions.

History

Moly is used to brew the wiggenweld potion, and it can be distinguished by its black stems and white flowers.

1989 - 1990: Pomona Sprout taught sixth years at Hogwarts how to care for Moly.

1990 - 1991: Mentioned on the NEWT exams.

1995 - 1996: Snape tasked his students with collecting five Moly plants for a potions' assignment. Harry, Ron and Hermione helped Ernie Macmillian with this homework so he could join Dumbledore's army.
