Overview

Silencio, or the Silencing Charm, is a fifth-year spell used to mute the target. This is a spell best used on animate beings. Silencio is generally considered to be a difficult spell, and incorrect casting can cause swelling.

History

This spell is actually required by law for owners of a Flwopper, a magical bird whose song can cause insanity. Silencio is, however, a temporary spell and must be recast on a monthly basis.
