Overview

Sonorus, or the Amplifying Charm, is a fifth-year spell. It is the counterspell to the Quieting Charm. It is used to raise the voice of the caster, similar to the use of a Muggle microphone/megaphone. The spell can also be used on objects to raise the volume.

History

This spell commonly makes appearances at sports matches, competitions, or announcements. It was regularly used during the Triwizard Tournament, though casters must be wary of overuse as it can leave behind a hoarse voice.
