2 drops of Syrup of Hellebore

Overview

The wolfsbane potion does not prevent a werewolf from transforming, but it allows them to remain calm and harmless while transformed. A werewolf who has taken the potion usually knows how to properly retreat from humans instead of attacking them. It is said to be very difficult and complex to make; the potion has to be prepared correctly and consumed at the right time for it to be effective. Add seventeen leaves of the wolfsbane plant to the cauldron.

History

The potion was invented by Damocles Belby in the late twentieth century. It was considered a major breakthrough in magical medicine, as it greatly improved the lives of werewolves by reducing the danger they posed to others.
