Overview

The Hogwarts Boats are used to transport students, usually 1st years, to Hogwarts Grounds across the Black Lake from Hogsmeade Station, as well as take them back. These boats are also used for 7th years and their graduation ceremony. These boats are docked under the castle, and each book can hold up to four people.
