Overview

The Verdimillious Charm is a charm that emits green sparks from the wand. It is used to reveal objects hidden by the Dark Arts, and it can also be used offensively in a duel.

Effects

The charm has multiple abilities. For one, it can be used offensively in a duel. For this, the spellcaster waves their wand in a circular motion over their head, saying the incantation and aiming for nothing specific in front of them. This would cause an orb of green energy to come out of the tip of their wand, exploding several feet away in a blinding flash and illuminating the entire room the spell was cast in for a short period of time. It could also reveal hidden things not seen by the human eye. As long as the emerald light from the spell lasted, objects like platforms and doors that the use of the Dark Arts had hidden would become visible and tangible once again, until the effects of the spell ceased.

History

Professor Quirinus Quirrell taught his first-year students this spell in his Defense Against the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1991-1992 school year. The Ministry of Magic approves this spell.
