Overview

Scurvy grass is a plant commonly found in the Muggle world that has magical qualities. The plant grows in Great Britain as well as in northern and western areas of Europe. It is used as an ingredient in the Befuddlement Draught and is kept with other potion ingredients in the Potions classroom at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. In 1991, A Muggle ate a salad containing scurvy grass, lovage, and sneezewort and became extremely befuddled. The event was investigated, and a remedy for the potion was soon brewed.
