History

Shell Cottage is the home of Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley after their marriage in the summer of 1997. It is located on the outskirts of Tinworth in Cornwall, England, near the coast. It is described as a “lonely and beautiful place.” Sea lavender can be found growing around the cottage. It was used as a safehouse for different members of the Weasley family and other members of the Order of the Phoenix during the height of the Second Wizarding War. Protected by the Fidelius Charm, Bill Weasley was the Secret Keeper. The cottage was built sometime in the 1970s or 1980s, and at the time, it was owned by an Aunt of the Weasley children. Molly and Arthur Weasley would take their children there while they were growing up.
