Overview

Ash is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the Olive and Lilac family. It matched with the Celtic calender month from February 18 to March 17 known as Nion.

Specifics

Some broomsticks, a few being on display at the Museum of Quidditch were made of Ash.

As a wand wood, the wands were loyal and not meant to be passed from one wizard to another or else they lose power. Although somewhat superstitious, it was believed that owners of Ash wands were usually stubborn and not easily swayed. The perfect owner for an Ash wand would be stubborn and courageous but never arrogant.
