Classification Beast

Larger and stronger

Overview

A three-headed dog, which is also known as a Cerberus, was a rare magical beast. It is unknown if each head had a different purpose to serve. They are much larger and stronger than non-magical dogs. Despite their size, they have a weakness to music. This is due to how they are unable to resist falling asleep to music. The presence of a three-headed dog is scattered, but it is still notable. The most famous of the species was Fluffy, owned by Rubeus Hagrid.

History

  • During the 1800s, Hogwarts hung a tapestry of a three-headed dog on the walls. Then, in 1932, a three-headed dog was reportedly lost in the London fog. Rubeus Hagrid once owned a three-headed dog named Fluffy. Hagrid obtained Fluffy from a Greek Man he met at a pub. In 1992, Fluffy served as an obstacle to the Sorcerer’s Stone.
  • Earlier in October of 1991, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Neville Longbottom all stumbled upon Fluffy at Hogwarts. This was so they could hide from Argus Flinch. Harry managed to put Fluffy to sleep in June of 1992. This is so he, Ron, and Hermione could enter the Chambers.
  • In the 2010s and 2020s, three-headed dog Foundables started appearing during the Calamity. This was happening throughout the world. So, volunteers of the Statue of Secrecy Task Force were sent to deal with the Foundables. This way they can be freed and returned to the rightful places of belonging.
  • Although Three-Headed Dogs are identified as beasts, it is unknown what danger classification they are. However, they are seen as large, aggressive, and they require high specialist handling. So, it is likely that they are ranked XXXX.
