The Anti-Cheating Spell is also known as the Anti-Cheating Charm as it is categorized as a charm that prevents a witch or wizard from cheating on a test or exam.

History

These spells have been casted at Hogwarts on writing quills and parchment to prevent the Hogwarts students from cheating during their exams, mostly used for O.W.L’s and N.E.W.T’s. They could be circumvented with so-called Cribbing Spells. Several of the student records stored in the Records Room at Hogwarts by the 21st century had been subjected to an Anti-Cheating Spell to prevent them from being tampered with. As of 13th July 2020, the Headmistress of the day gave Calamity Investigators of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force permission to visit the Records Room to look over the student file of Grim Fawley, the wizard thought to be behind the Calamity. Once there, they found that whilst the material was not very useful, curiously enough, the part of Fawley’s record that had not been magically secured with the spell had been altered, prompting them to restore them.
