Overview

Mimbulus Mimbletonia is a very rare magical plant. It is said to have originated in Assyria, a region in the Middle East.

Specifics

The Mimbulus Mimbletonia is a peculiar magical plant known for its pulsing, writhing movements and unique self-defense system. When touched or disturbed, it releases a foul-smelling liquid called “Stinksap”. This is done from the swellings on its surface. Although harmless, the dark green substance smells strongly of rotten manure.

As it grows, the plant requires specific conditions, such as plenty of light, warmth, good drainage, and minimal moisture. At an early stage, it already shows movement and makes strange humming sounds when handled. During its flowering phase, distinctive boils form and begin giving off a powerful smell. When these swellings appear ready to burst, the plant has reached full maturity. This means it has entered its fruiting stage. At this point, care is especially essential, since touching the boils would trigger a spray of Stinksap.

When fully developed, the boils themselves can be collected and used as ingredients in potion-making.
