Overview

After graduation from Hogwarts, Penny Haywood was employed as a potioneer at the Apothecary. She loved her job because of how she got to brew potions and gather ingredients. Then, on July 31, 1991, Rubeus Hagrid took Harry Potter to Diagon Alley to purchase supplies for his first year. Harry had looked around the store, while Hagrid dealt with the unicorn horns and black beetle eyes.

In the summer of 1993, Harry Potter returned to the Apothecary before beginning his third year. So, he replenished his store of potion ingredients. And when joining the Weasleys for school shopping in 1996, neither Harry or Ron bought ingredients at the apothecary. This is due to how both boys thought they wouldn’t be studying Potions for the next school year.
