Overview

The Wound-Cleaning Potion is one of the many healing potions that is known in our world. It is also named Wound Cleaning Potion. This potion is used to sterilise wounds and is a very strong antiseptic. When applied, it stings and smokes.

History

This potion was being taught to sixth-year students in Potions class and was later reviewed again in seventh-year. It was expected to brew the potion successfully.

Madam Pomfrey used this potion in Harry Potter’s fourth year when he got hurt in the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. This took place on November 23rd 1994 at the Hospital Wing of Hogwarts.
