Overview
Anton Dolohov was a dark wizard. And one of many Death Eaters under Voldemort's reign. Dolohov was considered a powerful and dark wizard. He fought in the First Wizarding War, torturing many Muggles, Wizards and witches who were not supporters of the Dark Lord. Alongside four of his fellow Death Eaters, he would go on to murder Fabian and Gideon Prewett. Dolohov was later caught and convicted of these crimes and sentenced to a life imprisonment in Azkaban. His sentence was cut short as he escaped from prison with Voldemort's return during the mass breakout of 1996. Later participating in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries after the battle he was captured again and returned to his incarceration. This seemed not to stop him at all. By the summer of 1997, Dolohov was at large again. He and Thorphine roll attacked Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. At the Tottenham Court Road where he was ultimately defeated and had his memory wiped by Hermione Granger.
In 1998, Dollahov would then later fight again in another battle, the Battle of Hogwarts, during which he murdered Remus Lupin. His defeat would come at the hands of Phileas Flitwick, a professor of Hogwarts, in a duel during the climax of the battle. Antonin was described to have a long, thin, pale, twisted face and dark black hair. He was said to be extremely loyal to Lord Voldemort and was a merciless Death Eater willing to commit various violent atrocities without hesitation or any regret whatsoever. This could be seen throughout time as he continuously showed no remorse about wounding younger students as well as people who opposed his views or his Dark Lord alongside of Muggles. He was said to be extremely arrogant and self confident. And had developed a habit of engaging more than one opponent at a time. He was also said to challenge powerful Wizards such as the Prewett brothers, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Filius Flitwick and Mad Eye Moody. He was also said to prefer toying with his less skilled opponents. This could be seen with Neville Longbottom, who he had hit with the dancing feet spell, rather than something. More harmful or deadly as well as when he teased and taunted Harry Potter about cursing Hermione Granger. He was said to be on friendlier terms with his fellow Death Eaters, as he seemed to consider Yaxley and Rowle as some of his close friends. He was said to be one of the longest serving and one of the most devoted and sadistic of all of Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters, this was no easy task with Bellatrix and her reputation standing as a mirror to his own. He is a highly powerful and dangerous wizard. With magical skills that allow him to go up against and defeat some quite powerful Wizards and witches of great skill, including many Aurors and Order of the Phoenix members.
History
First Wizarding War 1970s-1981
During 1970, Voldemort began open hostilities against all of the wizarding world which led to the beginning of the first Wizarding War. According to former Death Eater Igor Karkaroff, Antonin was among the most important of Death Eaters and had tortured many, many Muggles and non supporters of the Dark Lord during the First Wizarding War. A few of the Wizards named as ones that he had murdered for being on the opposing side were Fabian and Gideon Prewett, Molly Weasley's brothers.
Between the Wars 1981-1995
On the 31st of October 1981, Dolohov would be captured and sent to Azkaban for his crimes. His name was one that Igor Karkarov revealed to the Council of Magical Law; this was an attempt to clear his own name while he gave the names of many of his fellow Death Eaters. After his sentencing, Dolohov would then spend the next 14 years in a maximum security cell surrounded by Dementors close to the cell of his fellow death eater Bellatrix Lestrange.
Second Wizarding War 1995-1998
In the beginning of 1996, Delahov, the Lestranges, along with other fellow Death Eater convicts, would escape Azkaban and rejoin their Dark Lord, Voldemort. The Daily Prophet would speculate that the escape was aided by Sirius Black. But that would be proven false in the aftermath of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.
Battle of the Department of Mysteries
On June 18th of 1996, Lord of Voldemort would lure Harry Potter to the Ministry of Magic. This would begin the battle of the Department of Mysteries. During the battle, Dolohov was paired with Jugson, the two would go on to search for the five other students who had arrived with Harry Potter. Dolohov and his partner would successfully track down Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom to the room off of the time room. He would use the Impediment Jinx on the three of them before going to alert the others death eaters of their whereabouts and findings. This was proven hard to do as Hermione Granger successfully casted a Silencing Charm on him to prevent him from doing so. This did not slow Dolohov at all, with a kick to Neville breaking the boy's wand and nose, and an unnamed curse thrown silently at Hermione severely injuring her. This led to him being able to successfully corner Harry Potter wordlessly threatening him. Distracted and arrogant he would then give Harry the unwanted opportunity to get away using a Body-Bind. Before Order of the Phoenix members arrived Antonin was able to defeat Alastor Moody in a duel before placing Neville Longbottom under a Dancing Feet Spell and attacking Harry with the same spell he had just previously used on Hermione. By the end of the Battle Dolohov was captured again and returned to Azkaban.
Death Eater Meeting of July 1997
Following another Azkaban breakout, he was at large again among fellow Death Eaters. He attended the Death Eater meeting at Malfoy Manor that summer where he was seen to be seated between Corban Yaxley and Severus Snape.
Luchino Caffe Duel
Not long after, the Death Eaters took over the Ministry of Magic Dolohov and Thorfinn Rowle tracked the golden trio to a cafe on Tottenham Court Road. This is where a small Battle would break out between the rivals ultimately ending in Dolohov being hit with a full body-binding curse as well as having his memories erased by Hermione Granger.
Battle of Hogwarts May 2 1998
During the Battle of Hogwarts on May Second 1998, Dolohov would be fighting against Dean Thomas and Parvati Patil. Parvati shot a full body binding curse at him in defense of Dean causing him once again to fall under this spell. During the battle, Dollahove would also duel with Remus Lupin, ultimately murdering Remus Lupin. Soon after Remus Lupin's death, Voldemort called a retreat. Which dollar holds Wood back with him? This gave Harry Potter one hour to turn himself over. During this time, Dolohov, along with Yaxley, would stand guard in the Forbidden Forest. Once the Battle of Hogwarts, later resumed Dolohov would meet his demise being killed by Filius Flitwick.
