Horcruxes

Horcruxes — Voldemort's Secret to Immortality

A Horcrux is one of the darkest magical objects in the wizarding world. Created by committing murder and using a dark spell to split one's soul, a Horcrux anchors a piece of the creator's soul to the mortal world, preventing true death. Lord Voldemort created seven Horcruxes in his quest for immortality.

All Seven Horcruxes

Tom Riddle's Diary — Destroyed by Harry in the Chamber of Secrets with a basilisk fang.

Marvolo Gaunt's Ring — Destroyed by Dumbledore, though the cursed ring fatally injured his hand.

Salazar Slytherin's Locket — Stolen by Regulus Black and eventually destroyed by Ron Weasley with the Sword of Gryffindor.

Helga Hufflepuff's Cup — Hidden in the Lestrange vault at Gringotts and destroyed by Hermione.

Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem — Hidden in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts and destroyed by Fiendfyre.

Nagini — Voldemort's snake companion, destroyed by Neville Longbottom with the Sword of Gryffindor.

Harry Potter — An accidental Horcrux, destroyed when Voldemort cast the Killing Curse at Harry in the Forbidden Forest.
