Overview
Lovage, also known as Levisticum Officinale, is a plant similar to celery, with its fruit and seeds commonly used in cooking. Lovage has been used in different medicines for hundreds of years, especially for digestion purposes. For the best results, Lovage should be picked at dawn.
History
Lovage is reportedly “most efficacious in the inflaming of the brain,” according to one of Harry Potter’s textbooks. Lovage is used as an ingredient in both the Confusing and Befuddlement Draughts. It is also an ingredient in the Invigoration Draught.
